Welcome to the Claremont. We are a privately owned facility on 12 beautiful park-like acres in northwest Columbus. Our building is one story and therefore all our apartments are on the ground floor so there are no elevators or stairs to climb. All our independent living apartments have a screened-in patio for your enjoyment.
A study from the American Senior Housing Association and Thompson White & Associates, Inc. found that residents of retirement communities live seven to ten years longer than living alone, and are more likely to say their health is better today than two years ago. Researchers feel that the combination of personal freedom, health benefits and satisfaction derived from socializing with others offered by retirement communities decreases stress and increases vitality in residents.
At Claremont Retirement Village we offer a large variety of socialization, activities and numerous in-house amenities that will not only make daily life easier but will give residents the chance to create new friendships. We know when searching for a senior living community for yourself or a loved one, choosing Claremont Retirement Village will provide the best, most reasonable options possible to prolong a happy energetic lifestyle.
Please call us for a tour of our facility and you will see for yourselves the difference for we are indeed a warm and friendly place to live at a very reasonable price.
Claremont Retirement Village President
Jim Reeves has been one of our residents for three years. Jim was the first black captain of the Philadelphia Police Dept. and he still fits into his uniform. He wrote a book called “Black Cops”. The book removes the shroud of secrecy that has always cloaked police work from the eyes of civilians, offering a frank and revealing look at how cops did their jobs, and at how race so often factored into that decades ago in the 1960’s. Jim has a photo of himself with Martin Luther King, Jr. in his book.
