About Claremont Retirement Village

Claremont Retirement Village sits on 12 acres in northwestern Columbus, Ohio.  We are located close to the Sawmill exit of I-270.  The facility is a ground floor, garden-style, rental retirement community.  Our park-like campus has many outdoor common areas and most apartments have a screened-in patio giving our residents one of the amenities of their former homes.  Small pets are welcome at Claremont.  We are a non-smoking facility.  Smoking is allowed outside but never in the apartments or common areas.

Each apartment has emergency pull cords located in strategic places.  When emergencies occur, our aid station receives immediate notification and that station is monitored 24 hours a day.  We also have a maintenance supervisor who lives on site so no resident ever goes without heating, air conditioning or plumbing if there is a problem after normal business hours.

There are no endowment fees or yearly leases to become part of our comfortable and friendly community. 

A study from the American Senior Housing Association and Thompson White & Associates, Inc. found that residents of retirement communities live seven to ten years longer than other seniors, and are more likely to say their health is better today than two years ago.  Researchers feel that the combination of personal freedom, health benefits and satisfaction derived from socializing with others offered by retirement communities decreases stress and increases vitality in residents.

We are an independent senior living facility; however, if you need a little extra care but do not need a nursing home, we have Catered Care Living (CCL).  Follow the links at the bottom of this page to see how these two areas of care differ.                    

For those current residents that return from a lengthy hospital stay or just need a little more attention for a few weeks, they have the opportunity to take advantage of our respite care services. 

We also would like to invite those seniors who are looking at Claremont as their potential summer residence only.  Our Administrator and Marketing Director will surely find a reasonable financial solution to your desire for a length of time away from Claremont for another climate.
